It boasts impressive overdriven tones, a Floyd Rose tremolo, and a kill switch for Van Halen-esque effects. While its aesthetics are cool and minimal, the limited finish options might deter some. EVH 5150 Series Standard review: Built for speed at a bargain price

guitar.com

The EVH 5150 Series Standard is a blast from the 1980s past, delivering an affordable, fun, and reliable rock machine. With a sleek design reminiscent of Eddie Van Halen's iconic guitars, it sports modern features like a compound radius fingerboard and a stable quartersawn maple neck. The standout Floyd Rose tremolo and D-Tuna ensure excellent tuning stability, though initial setup can be tedious. While the pickups may lack some sonic articulation, they excel in delivering punchy, mid-rich tones ideal for rock enthusiasts. This guitar is a well-built shredder's dream, but its flashy Neon Pink finish requires confidence to match. Overall, it's a well-rounded, entertaining guitar with a nostalgic edge.

very bad quality for the price

For a 1400 hundred dollar guitar its junk, the routing on it is absolutely horrible, the wood splinters everywhere in the back, its the bare minimum that could of been done to get the wires through. The D tuna works mediocre, the nut is prone to extremely quick wear, theres already slots in 4 of them and the tuning stability is not holding well because of it, and the fingerboard edges aren't rolled any better than my 800 dollar martin or my 550 dollar stratocaster.

if i paid full price for this instrument i would be absolutely livid, i paid 780 for mine and i mean whatever, im about to sell this thing and buy a charvel or something because WOW, thing plays great, but it looks like a 6 year old from singapore did this work, oh and i didnt mention the solder joints look like trash, like they're terrible, it makes me think its second hand but nope, stock! thanks evh, the seemingly neglected fender brand? because i dont understand how fender made this thing, genuinely my cheap fender player Stratocaster is indistinguishable from a american one, it is uncanny how amazing that thing is, and this one that is 3x the price has the build quality of a harley benton, just come on...
