Fender Road Worn '50s Stratocaster review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Fender 50's Road Worn Stratocaster is a standout for its vintage vibe and balanced tones. It delivers the worn-in look and feel of a classic guitar, with improved playability that many players will appreciate. While some might find the neck slightly lacking in thickness and the aging effects a bit contrived, these are minor complaints against its overall charm and usability. The guitar's sound is versatile, with a solid set of pickups providing twang, bite, and creamy tones. For those seeking vintage aesthetics and sound without the hefty price of a Custom Shop model, this Strat is a compelling choice.

It's a classic - kind of

I love this guitar. The neck is sublime and the wear and tear all look and feel very authentic. Until you turn up to a gig where somebody else has one. At that point you see that the wear is identical. This shouldn't be surprising but after that happens some of the magic is lost.

That raise, the guitar is still great. It's essentially a relic at a fraction of the cost (although not overly cheap) and th playability is great. The 50s maple board ones sound very thin. Not in a wimpy way but definitely not rounded like some of the other strat models. It finds it's place in a mix well.

The fit and finish is good. Really exemplifies what the mexican factory are capable of.

Just like an old Strat

Some times I play guitar on stage. That's why I wanted to have a Strat. The guitar is good, but I found better Stratocasters in the past, especially some Custom Shop models or some really fine adjusted guitars which cost a lot more. Mine plays and sounds great and fits my needs.
