Description
The Fender Vintera ‘60s Mustang Bass is a nod to the iconic era when rock 'n' roll was king and the bass guitar helped shape the sound of a generation. This electric bass captures the vintage essence with its 30-inch scale length, making it incredibly playable and ideal for musicians who love the feel of a shorter scale. A great bass for a relatively cheap price
I got my Mustang in January 2024 as an addition to my P and my J bass. I wanted to recreate a classic, mid heavy bass sound, that would fit in a rock / pop context mix but could also possibly fit other scenarios.
The Mustang does exactly that, it fits into many contexts of music without much adjustment and EQing needed.
Together with a bump in the mids and a small amount of drive, it sounds beautifully clean and somewhat aggressive at the same time.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Drive, Amp, graphic EQ (mids bumped, treble cut a little, bass boosted ever so slightly)
