Ryan ‘Fluff’ Bruce of Riffs, Beards & Gear unveils signature Fishman Fluence Custom Series pickup | Guitar World

guitarworld.com

Ryan Bruce's Fishman Fluence Custom Series pickups deliver a versatile tonal palette with three distinct voices, making them a solid choice for players seeking flexibility. The combination of high-output ceramic, passive attack, and single-coil sounds offers impressive clarity and detail, particularly useful for high-gain settings. However, some may find the tonal transitions between voices not as seamless as expected. While the pickups shine in articulate gain settings, they may not satisfy those looking for a more traditional humbucker feel. Overall, these pickups are a worthy option for players wanting modern versatility but may not cater to every traditionalist's needs.

This is the signature pickup Fluff designed with fishman. It incorporates his favorite Fisherman Fluence tones. The pickups have 3 voices. Voice 1 is a modern active sound, voice 2 is a modern passive sound, and voice 3 is a overwound sigle coil. Voice 1 is full, round, and boosted, but articulate. Voice 2 is a blend of fluff’s favorite passive tones. Voice 3 is the overwound tone but doesn’t loose the highs or the single coil character
