Fostex PM1

soundonsound.com

The Fostex PM-1 active monitors are a budget-friendly option delivering a tight and punchy sound, ideal for project studios. They offer good imaging and sound separation, crucial for mixing, with a smooth high end and adequate low end. However, the mid-range can be perceived as slightly hard, and there are no frequency response controls. While not suited for casual listening, the PM-1s excel in a studio setting, making them a strong contender for those seeking quality on a budget.
