Description

Gretsch G6128TCG Duo Jet Electric Guitar

A true tribute to the nostalgic 1950s, the Gretsch G6128TCG Duo Jet Electric Guitar is a finely crafted masterpiece that captivates the vintage spirit with its spectacular design and iconic sound. It replicates the charm of the rare limited-run Duo Jet, which was a collector's favorite with its alluring Cadillac Green finish and gold hardware.

The Duo Jet boasts superior craftsmanship with its chambered mahogany body coupled with a maple top, making it a tone machine that exudes rich resonance. It's further enhanced by the period-accurate Synchro-Sonic bridge, pairing perfectly with the Bigsby B3CBDE vibrato tailpiece for that authentic throwback feel.

The guitar's noteworthy feature is the TV Jones T-Armond single-coil pickups, a special TV Jones reproduction of the original DynaSonic pickup. These pickups deliver the distinct high-end gloss and controlled bass response that DynaSonic was renowned for. Alongside is the Treble Bleed circuit, outfitted with Squeezebox PIO capacitors, offering a classic Treble Bleed sound and completing the guitar's tonal spectrum.

This instrument is more than just a guitar; it's an embodiment of an era that changed the music landscape and is sure to be a treasured addition to any musician's collection.

Key Features:

  • Rich resonance from chambered mahogany body with a maple top
  • TV Jones T-Armond single-coil pickups re-create the original DynaSonic sound
  • Classic Treble Bleed circuit with Squeezebox PIO capacitors for a complete tone
  • Gold hardware and Cadillac Green finish for a vintage aesthetic
  • Genuine Synchro-Sonic bridge paired with period-correct Bigsby B3CBDE vibrato tailpiece

awesome

I got it on my most recent guitar safari, and have been using it to record some parts of the new album. I plan on using it on our electric version of Leadbelly's "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" (for the acoustic version I have used the Stella Harmony 12 String for the demo tape as usual, and will probably use it for the actual version on the album)

George Harrison Gretsch Due Jet

This guitar has great balance and plays really nice. I like the action of the guitar and the sound of the dyna-sonic PUPS are amazing IMO. It's a light guitar and really comfortable to play since the guitar is chambered and considered a semi-hollow body guitar. The neck position is my favorite on this guitar and sounds great...reminds me of Jimi's Little Wing intro. Different style guitar than what I'm used to however it's a real jem.
