Description

Step into a realm where vintage charm meets modern craftsmanship with the Guitar Fetish SLICK SL56 Offset Semi-Hollow Aged Electric. This instrument is not just a guitar—it's a statement, exuding the charisma and grit of a well-traveled road warrior without the hefty price tag. Crafted from solid swamp ash and meticulously designed by the legendary Earl Slick, the SL56 is a powerhouse of tone and aesthetics.

Embrace the warmth of its semi-hollow body, enhanced with dual routed tone chambers and the classic allure of F-holes. The neck, made from SOLID Canadian Hard Rock Maple, offers a smooth 25 1/2" scale length, adorned with a fingerboard of solid Black Walnut for that perfect touch of elegance and playability.

But it's the hardware that truly elevates this guitar. With a raw, machined brass wraparound bridge, and tuners featuring bronze components, the SL56 promises impeccable tuning stability and a resonance that sings with every strum. The graphite nut and tilt-back headstock ensure seamless string alignment and superior tuning stability.

Underneath its rugged exterior lie the Hand Aged Alnico Slick Brand Pickups. The bridge boasts a 9.4K overwound pickup for that biting tone reminiscent of a Telecaster, while the neck cradles an 8.0K Slick "Junior" pickup, delivering a rich, late '50s timbre.

Each SL56 is finished with a single coat of vintage automotive paint, allowing the wood to breathe and resonate naturally—no fillers, no frills, pure tone.

Slick SL56 Review | GuitarPlayer

guitarplayer.com

Slick SL56 is a guitar that merges vintage aesthetics with budget-friendly craftsmanship. Packed with good playability and striking bridge pickup tones, it’s a delight for those seeking a high-quality instrument without breaking the bank. Its aged design and brass components offer a boutique feel, while the P-90 neck pickup is a bit too mellow, necessitating some EQ tweaking for balance. However, the bridge pickup shines with bright, dynamic tones. Despite a slightly awkward pickup switch, the SL56's build quality and tonal versatility make it a standout choice for musicians, delivering more guitar than its price suggests.
