It is very difficult to accurately determine what gear was used by Adrian Borland both live and in studio, since there are not so many pictures and documents regarding The Sound Nevertheless carefully examining some photos and videos it is quite clear that Adrian used live an HH Electronics V-S Musician Amp Head, at least for the first two album period. In this picture the Amp Head can be seen clearly in the center, behind Adrian, laying on some speaker cabinet.
