Ibanez AFS80T Artcore Electric Guitar Review - Premier Guitar

premierguitar.com

The Ibanez AFS80T Artcore Electric Guitar is a stylish nod to vintage archtop designs, offering impressive quality at an affordable price. Its flashy hot-rod looks might divide opinions, but the guitar excels in playability and comfort, featuring a slender neck and resonant body for satisfying acoustic and electric performance. While the humbuckers deliver ample bite and definition for rockabilly and jazz, they may lack the complexity some jazz purists seek. Ibanez nails the balance between vintage aesthetics and modern functionality with this model, making it a standout choice for budget-conscious players seeking versatile, hollowbody tones.

Great guitar for the price

I picked one of these up last week and I'm very pleased with it. I was looking for a rockabilly sound but didn't have the funds for a Gretsch or Gibson ES. I had to spend a couple hours setting it up to my liking but it plays like a dream. The tone is great, the tremolo works great, and the neck feels good. I wouldn't recommend it for a beginner. It does require some knowledge to get it set up right. As far as "bang for your buck" this is an excellent guitar. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good blues or rockabilly sound.
