Not just a 335 clone, but a great guitar with it's own sound
Mine is a 1990, made at the Hoshino factory. Great and versatile guitar. Neck pickup has a switch that changes the pickup to series/parallel/single coil. I play mine with flat wound strings and the guitar really feels like an extension of my body. I've thought about selling it for a custom shop 335, but I've never found a 335 that's better than my AS200.

I am so fond of the MIJ semis by Ibanez, Yamaha, Greco and Tokai... damn the Japanese were outshining Gibson up until the Memphis shop opened....

Normally, John Scofield plays an Ibanez AS-200, but in this Premier Guitar video, Scofield’s guitar doesn’t make an appearance. At 0:31, Scofield says, “We flew from New York via Chicago and my Ibanez AS 200 is in transit. It's not here yet. It's not lost. It's OK. But it's not here at the gig yet.”
In this post dave shows off his ibanez as200. He states that it is the first semi hollow he ever owned
