Description

For those who crave a bass with the sophistication of a boutique instrument and the power to match, the Ibanez BTB1606E is a standout choice. This 6-string electric bass is a testament to Ibanez's commitment to blending premium materials with innovative design. The 9-piece neck construction of wenge, bubinga, and maple not only ensures durability but also enhances tonal richness and stability. Its neck-through construction facilitates seamless vibration transfer, delivering a resonance that seasoned players will appreciate.

The BTB1606E takes full advantage of its 35" scale length, offering enhanced articulation and tension, especially on the lower strings. This design choice, often reserved for high-end basses, ensures that your performance is both dynamic and precise. Whether you're launching into a slap-heavy solo or laying down solid reggae grooves, the Nordstrand Big Single pickups provide a versatile palette of tones, backed by an onboard EQ-IIISC system for precise sound shaping.

The bass's Mono-rail IV bridge is another highlight, allowing each string to vibrate independently, which means your notes will ring with clarity and definition, no matter how intricate your playing. Wrapped in a mahogany body that enriches sustain, the Ibanez BTB1606E is not just an instrument; it's a statement of musical prowess.

Great 6 String Bass

This bass was my first 6 string bass, and it is nearly perfect. It has no buzz whatsoever, and great rounded out Nordstrand pickups. It has a great EQ as well as useful switches for the EQ. I recommend this to anyone wondering about it.
