Description
Meet the Ibanez BTB805MS, a 5-string multi-scale electric bass guitar that embodies the dedication and creativity of a serious musician. Crafted with select-grade materials, neck-thru construction, and top-quality components, this instrument is designed for the pros. The 5-piece maple/walnut neck, reinforced with graphite rods, delivers tonal clarity and an enhanced attack, providing massive sustain and stability.
The panga panga fingerboard produces a tight low- and mid-range, with a sharp attack on the high end, while the 24 medium-sized, durable stainless-steel frets ensure you never miss a note. The double-cutaway design, capped with a bold polar burl top, combined with the ash/okoume wing body, provides bright and solid tones with rich sustain. The 37-inch scale provides strong tension for clear sounds even when it’s down tuned, and combined with the 35-inch scale, it provides better string tension on higher strings, and smooth fingering due to gentler fret angles.
The sound of the BTB805MS is driven by a set of T1 pickups, each with separate dual-coil construction to provide a tight bottom-end, punchy mid-range, and smooth response. The Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ allows for precision tonal adjustments, including a switch to choose passive-only operation. The EQ bypass control offers precision tonal adjustments, including a switch to choose passive-only operation. When the EQ bypass is activated, the treble tone control knob becomes the global tone control for the passive circuit.
