IBZ10 Review: I write my own songs but I'm still learning. | Ibanez | Guitar Amplifiers | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

The Ibanez IBZ10 is a practice amp with painfully evident flaws. While it’s moderately effective for casual jamming, its sound quality is poor, often described as "crummy" with hissing at higher volumes. The build quality leaves much to be desired, with problematic input jacks needing makeshift fixes. Its low power and weak features make it unsuitable for gigs or serious practice. Despite some utility as a basic practice tool, the overall sentiment is that the IBZ10 is not a worthwhile investment for those seeking reliable sound and durability.

Looks small, plays tall

This amp spend most of its time plugged in to the powerstrip by my bed. It's close enough to my computer that I can write and transcribe, close enough to my bed I can sit and jam, and it sounds pretty nice. I've used this amp as a guitar amp (where I'm particularly fond of the built in, button switch distortion) and for a brief period, a vocal amp, where it still performed fine. It handles tone very well, it's only drawback is it's size and, in a modern world, lack of versatility, But for a first amp, practice amp, or bedside amp, it beats a silvertone.

Perfect First Amp

This amp doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles but a beginner doesn't need all that. This amp is great for learning guitarists because it works and doesn't sound like crap!
