The body of this bass is a harmonious blend of flamed Maple, Bubinga, and Ash, resulting in a bright and rich sustain. Its 5-string bolt-on neck, made from Panga Panga and Purpleheart, provides a smooth and stable playing experience. The neck is further reinforced with KTS TITANIUM rods for increased stability and sustain.
The Birdseye Maple fretboard is ornamented with green oval inlays, and the medium frets come with a premium fret edge treatment for a super smooth performance. The bass is equipped with 2 Nordstrand Big Break humbuckers that deliver a powerful, aggressive tonal texture while retaining clarity.

It's almost perfect
This bass is probably the best I’ve ever had. You can get a wide variety of tones, and even in passive mode it has a very full sound. If you’re looking for a bass guitar that’s rich in both low and high frequencies, this is exactly what you should try. The playability is absolutely amazing, but of course, that also depends on how the instrument is set up.
The only thing I would criticize, as with many other bass guitars, is the pickup construction. It’s not an issue with the A, D, and G strings, but it is a problem with the B and E strings, due to the exposed magnet poles. When playing harder, the strings hit the magnets, producing a very loud noise.
So the first thing I did with this bass was to disassemble the pickups and insert a piece of paper under the cover between the plastic and the pickup itself on the low string side, to make sure the magnets don’t protrude as much as before.
But this isn’t just an Ibanez issue—I’ve had the same problem with brands like Fender and many others. Fortunately, this kind of issue is usually easy and quick to fix. But I think it's not the fault of the guitar manufacturers, but of the pickup manufacturers. For me, they should design the pickups so that the magnets are below the level of the cover or at least at the same level. Of course, the problem can be solved by moving the pickups down, but we would lose the output volume.
