Description

The SR800 was an Ibanez Soundgear series solid body bass, introduced in 1990. It was made in Japan by FujiGen and and was later replaced the very similar SR800LE.

The SR800 featured a double cutaway basswood body, bolt-on maple neck, a 24-fret rosewood fretboard with pearl dot inlay markers and a painted neck and headstock. Components included Ibanez low-impedance pickups with an Ibanez "Lo-Z-P" Precision pickup in the neck, and a "Lo-Z-J" Jazz pickup in the bridge. It had an Accu-Cast B IV bridge, an EQ BⅡ equalizer, Gotoh machine heads and black hardware. Controls consisted of a volume, balancer, and treble & bass boost/cut knobs.

There was also a left-handed version the SR800L, a fretless version the SR800F, an ash-bodied model the SR800A, and a model with a quilted sapele top the SR990QS.

The SR800 was discontinued after 2003.
