Perfect, Underrated, but could do better

The JBL Nano K4 is a perfect studio monitor to start out with, strong durable and a full sound. From the physical aspect, it is solid dark grey with a red plastic ring, but i would agree that its looks are in no way inspiring, especially the gaudy orange behind on the wood back ( the rest is plastic). It comes with a lean back function with a thin included sound isolating layer (which works perfectly on my table). Sound quality, these speakers give you a clear idea of the bass that exists in your song. Clarity wise, its pretty good but high frequencies get distorted at high frequencies. But the worst part about this is the headphone amplifier which distorts most of the frequencies post 16000 hz. Its recommended to not ever use the built in amplifier for headphones. Connectivity, is pretty good with AUX, RCA and TRS ports. The included RCA cable is of high quality and works perfectly (unlike the built in bluetooth that refused to connect to my iPad after i paired it). However these sound very good for being budget studio monitors but its best to spend only a max of 150 USD on it and nothing more. Great for your first monitors! (my rating is 3.8 stars)
