Critic Reviews

Keeley Electronics combines its Caverns modulated delay with the Realizer’s shoegaze-friendly reverb for the Parallax Spatial Generator | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Keeley Parallax Spatial Generator is a powerful tool for those seeking ethereal sounds with its combination of multiple delay and reverb options. The three distinct reverb modes—Soft Focus, Reverse, and Hall—offer a rich palette for experimenting. However, while its versatility is commendable, some may find the complexity overwhelming, especially given the lack of intuitive user guidance. Additionally, the pedal's price point may deter budget-conscious musicians. For those ready to dive into a world of sonic exploration, the Parallax is a worthy investment, though it may not suit every player's straightforward needs.

great combo reverb and caverns delay

This combines the Loomer reverb with the Caverns delay with some notable differences. The reverb doesn't go full wet signal, unlike the Loomer but it does have modulation with a nice tremolo arm effect with the depth pot. Both delay and reverb can be set to trails or true bypass by internal dipswitches. Some may complain about the lack of stereo inputs/outputs but Keeley cleverly added TRS input mode with another internal switch which allows splitting signal from guitar to the input and a separate chain with reverb at the end of pedal chain before amp. A great 2 in 1 which fills a lot of shoegaze and ambient needs. Those who already own a Loomer and Caverns may opt to skip this , otherwise it's definitely worth a spot on your shoegaze board.
