Description
Immerse yourself in vintage rock 'n' roll tones with the Keeley Memphis Sun, a neo-vintage, multi-effects pedal designed for the musician who craves authenticity. This second studio-themed pedal from the renowned brand combines lo-fi reverb, echo, and double-tracker effects, capturing the essence of a 1950s recording session in a compact, pedalboard-friendly device.
The Memphis Sun offers three distinct modes: Slapback 600, Sun Mode, and Room. The Slapback 600 delivers echo with long delays, carefully filtered and compressed to mimic the sound of a packed, small room. It also adds second- and third-order harmonics to simulate tape response and equipment distortions.
The Sun Mode introduces Automatic Double Tracking (ADT), a feature not available in the 1950s but included here for its warm and natural sound. This mode also offers a slapback effect with short delays, the heart of classic country and rock 'n' roll guitar sounds.
Lastly, the Room mode simulates a 33-foot by 18-foot studio room, filled with music to the point of natural compression. The pre-delay can be adjusted from 0 to 150ms, allowing you to create a unique slapback sound as the first reflections come into focus.
Experience the distinct, vintage-voiced double-track in mono with the Keeley Memphis Sun. This pedal is not just a nod to the past, but a bridge to new creative possibilities.

Unique pedal
I like this pedal, although I don’t play the style of music it’s marketed towards. The echo feature is cool, and another reverb never hurt anyone, but I especially like the Sun mode, which is a nice double track sort of effect. Helps thicken up clean parts. I’ve also used it in conjunction with my boss overdrive and achieved some really nice tones. Worth a look for sure, Keeley never really disappoints!
