Keeley Caverns V2 Demo and Review on Guitar - Get Offset

getoffsetpodcast.com

The Keeley Caverns V2 impresses with its beautiful dual reverb and delay capabilities, offering a range of sounds from subtle to modulated. Its standout features include separate foot switches for reverb and delay, enhancing user convenience and versatility. While some may find the spring reverb subtle, the modulated hall sound shines, and the delay offers a full range of modulation options. The pedal's independent switches are a big plus, and despite its few drawbacks, it remains a lovely and popular choice among musicians. Highly recommended for those who value variety and quality in effects pedals.

Adept 2 in 1 Reverb Delay

Spring reverb on this is wonderful. The warmth knob really helps even out the hi end that some spring reverb pedals tend to add to your tone. The modulated reverb can achieve a lo-fi vinyl-esque chorus-y effect especially with the help of the delay. Really nice pedal overall. Individually the reverb is great (the only thing I would nitpick is that I'm not a huge fan of shimmery reverb), and the delay is as well. Saves up space on my board so I don't have to get a reverb and a delay separately.

Fantastic quality reverb and delay + value for money

this has been one of my favourite pedals since immediately after I picked it up. At first I just used it for guitar, but have now moved it onto my synth pedal board as it sounds really great with that too. This thing is a perfect boutique ambient machine at a lower price than a lot of similar pedals. Great build quality you expect from Keeley, 5 year warranty and not a bad sound in it in my mind. Only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is the pedal's not as versatile as I thought it could be, the modulated delay is great but somewhat limited in options.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

The Shimmer reverb sounds excellent with long decay (especially on synth). My favourite shimmer reverb I've come across. It also stacks well with both the included delay and other delay/reverb pedals.

Union Tube and Transistors Instagram page shows a look at Jack Whites current board for The Raconteurs tour 2019.

Almost all of them are painted copper, one of these pedal I believe to be the Keeley Electronics Caverns v2.

One of the pedals on this board includes 8 knobs, two foot switches and two toggle switches, which happens to be the exact layout for the delay+reverb pedal. It also look to be similar in size and the in/out jacks look to be in the same place as the caverns v2 pedal. The pedal was mentioned in the 2019 Premier Guitar interview.
