Description
Foot controlled MIDI controller with software editor.
Ever wish you had an extra hand when performing? Well the SoftStep 2 allows you all the control of your MIDI enabled equipment with a simple tap of your foot. Just program SoftStep with the easy-to-use control mapping software, plug in your MIDI rig to the SoftStep expander, and you're ready to send and receive MIDI data to and from MIDI enabled hardware regardless if youre using a computer or not.
The SoftStep 2 multitouch controller works with the SoftStep software application to manipulate a wide range of data, giving you a nearly infinite degree of controller possibilities. There are 10 key pads on the SoftStep 2, each incorporating a Sensor Key Technology enabling 5 degrees of freedom that are unique to each key, including X, Y, Clockwise Rotation, Counter Clockwise Rotation and Pressure.
Use SoftStep 2 to control music software parameters on your computer including effects, looping, sample triggering, panning, levels and DAW transport functions. You can also use your SoftStep to control your MIDI synth and/or rack with the SoftStep MIDI Expander (sold separately). In addition to controlling sound, the SoftStep can be used with anything that will accept MIDI or OSC data: lighting effects, video, robotics, pyrotechnics, and more.
