Description

The M9 Carbine™ Head by Mesa/Boogie

The Mesa/Boogie M9 Carbine Head is a high-powered hybrid bass amplifier head designed for professional live and studio use. Introduced as part of Mesa/Boogie’s Carbine series, it combines a tube-driven preamp with a MOSFET solid-state power section to deliver fast response, tight low-end punch, and detailed articulation. The M9 became popular among touring bassists for its immense headroom, flexible EQ shaping, and onboard studio-quality compressor. Its 9-band graphic EQ and selectable voice controls allow players to fine-tune tones ranging from vintage warmth to aggressive modern attack. Despite its heavy-duty construction and weight, the amp is highly regarded for reliability, dynamic feel, and the signature Mesa/Boogie clarity and power.
