Description
The brand new Metropoulos DVL-1 amplifier is the culmination of more than a decade of friendship between William DuVall of Alice In Chains and George Metropoulos. The mission was simple: build the ultimate plexi-style 100-watt amplifier with maximum flexibility and functionality and zero compromise in components, signal purity, and tone. Of course, this is much easier said than done. But William and George both feel that they not only accomplished the mission, they've exceeded it.

Well, here’s the thing, I’m not looking at these things so much as signature pieces. What I wanted was the most functional boutique Marshall-style amplifier that we could make without having a billion knobs on it. I wanted something that had the best of all world when it comes to functionality and simplicity and quality component and tone. That’s what George and I were after with the DVL-1. The idea is that anyone with any guitar can plug into it and find what they’re looking for. It wasn’t like ‘oh, you’re playing my amp.’ No. You’re playing your amp. I just helped bring it into being. I didn’t see one out there so I helped bring one into the world.
