Old Blood Noise Endeavors' Sunlight is a reverb pedal that pushes creative boundaries with its dynamic hold feature, allowing players to sustain notes without cumbersome footswitches. The intuitive controls make it easy to shape soundscapes, while three unique reverb modes—Tape, Comb, and Pass—offer a diverse range of tonal options. Old Blood Noise Endeavors Sunlight Dynamic Reverb Demo and Review

getoffsetpodcast.com

Old Blood Noise Endeavors' Sunlight Dynamic Reverb dazzles with its unique dynamic hold feature, allowing players to create ethereal soundscapes that truly respond to their playing. The pedal's three versatile settings—tape, comb, and pass—offer a wide range of ambient possibilities, making it a must-try for those seeking to expand their tonal palette. However, the complexity of its controls may overwhelm some users, particularly beginners looking for straightforward reverb effects. While it excels in creativity, the learning curve could deter less adventurous players. Overall, Sunlight is a dynamic tool worth exploring for its innovative approach to reverb.

Old Blood Noise Endeavors Sunlight review with synths, a wild textured reverb pedal

synthanatomy.com

Old Blood Noise Endeavors' Sunlight reverb pedal stands out with its unique algorithms and hands-on interface, providing a delightful playground for sound design. The Tape, Comb, and Pass modes offer rich, textured reverbs perfect for ambient compositions. However, the mono-to-mono configuration limits its appeal for stereo setups, which may frustrate electronic musicians. While it excels in creating ethereal atmospheres, the lack of stereo output feels like a missed opportunity. Overall, it’s an original and captivating reverb pedal, ideal for those looking to explore unconventional soundscapes while accepting its limitations.

Versatile, easy to use, beautiful & unique sounds

This latest reverb pedal in OBNE's line of products is a must-have for dreamy ambient musicians. The 3 algorithms itself are worth getting this pedal: the Tape setting gets you into very organic tape warble territory - everything from Boards of Canada subtle vibrato to complete sea-sickness. The Pass setting is the real shiner on this pedal: especially when you set those shimmery drops of dreaminess to a full depth and infinite decay.

What makes the functionality of this pedal really stand out is the ability to go fully wet and to set the decay to infinite! The alt switch comes in handy if you'd like to go back and forth between 2 different settings. Still so much to explore, this instantly became my desert island pedal!
