More options than youll.know what to do with.

This is a great amp head, it has a lot of different control options; however, this can also make it daunting at times. It was hard to lock into a specific sound.without writing down settings or taking pictures of the setup. If someone (kids usually) touched the knobs and sliders youd have to figure out the settings all over again.

The option to use tube, solid state, or hybrid is a nice feature. The slider controls for the frequencies is very versatile; however, i prefer the simplicity of a low, mid, and treble control knob.

There are a variety of output options and balance controls, i used this briefly to output into two cabinets.

The fan on it is very loud, i got this amp used so i dont know if that was always the case or something that appeared with age. You wont notice it while playing, but its loud when youre not.

Jo: We use exactly the same gear for recording and live ? both guitars use Marshall 9010 power amps with Boss GX700 effects units, Marshall 4x12 cabs. I used to use a Marshall 800 series guitar amp and overdrive it, but now I use a Peavey T-Max bass head and Laney 2x15 cabs.
