Randall MTS RM50/RM100 | Vintage Guitar® magazine

vintageguitar.com

The Randall RM50 is a versatile amp that embraces the spirit of classic tone modeling through its innovative interchangeable tube-driven preamp modules. Praised for its ability to deliver a vast array of tones, it offers musicians flexibility with its quick module swaps and high-quality build. The preamp modules accurately replicate iconic amp sounds, from vintage California clean to aggressive high-gain UK styles. The amp's MIDI compatibility adds convenience for complex setups. However, some modules may lose note clarity at high gain settings, and the price point for modules can add up. Overall, the RM50 is a robust choice for tone chasers looking for a customizable and dynamic rig.

My main babe

My main amp for Over-Score in the studio and on the road. If I have the transport then I'll use this and blend it with my IronHeart and the tone is just perfect. Using the Ultra XL channel for gain, and the Deluxe pre-amp for cleans, this is a great amp, really versatile. The Gain channel is fairly hard but this is a modular head so you can install other pre-amps for a different tone. I might look into this one day, but for now I'm happy with the Ultra XL and the Deluxe pair, and I've never loved my tone so much.
