The RhPf Electronics Basilisk is a crushing high‑gain distortion pedal crafted to dominate low‑end‑heavy riffs with massive saturation, earth‑shaking lows, and thick sustain. Designed in collaboration with the band Gentle Beast, Basilisk translates its mythical namesake into a sonic force that rumbles, snarls, and slices through any mix with ferocious intensity. Its multi‑stage circuit blends soft and hard MOSFET clipping with an active 3‑band EQ, giving you control over the distortion’s character from sludgy and scooped to mid‑forward and cutting. Whether you’re chugging slow doom passages or unleashing aggressive leads, it retains clarity and dynamic response without collapsing into mud. Built for both guitar and bass, it preserves low frequencies while providing sculptable aggression and precision. Basilisk is a tone monster equally home in stoner, doom, sludge, and heavy metal rigs.
