Critic Reviews

Cube-20GX Review: The rock range goes from classic to hard rock. | Roland | Guitar Amplifiers | Reviews @ Ultimate-Guitar.Com

ultimate-guitar.com

A compact powerhouse, the Roland Cube 20-GX delivers impressive sound and versatility, boasting a clean channel reminiscent of the Jazz Chorus and a variety of amp emulations, making it an excellent choice for diverse genres. Users rave about its robust build quality and durability, positioning it favorably against competitors. However, while the effects are well-implemented, the acoustic channel falls short when paired with humbuckers, limiting its appeal for some players. Overall, it’s a feature-rich, loud practice amp that stands out in its price range, but may require some adjustments for optimal performance in all settings.

A good guitar amp for those who want to explore effects before using pedals.

I bought this amp because of the numerous effects it had on it since I would just be using it at home. The sound and effects of the amp are good although fine-tuning of the effects is very limited. Some effects also don't hold up well like the overdrive. It's also pretty loud so sometimes I only play at a low volume. Good enough for home use but test it first before buying.
