In a Shure ad printed on page 8 of the September/October 1971 issue of Recording Engineer / Producer, engineer Bill Porter is quoted saying “We used SM60’s for Buddy Rich’s ‘Mercy, Mercy’ live recording at Caesar’s Palace . . . and have had numerous comments on the drum sound.”
