ymmv
i have one of these from the late 70's/early 80's, and it plays better than most modern dreadnaughts. the name on the tag may not say martin but it is definitely a d-28. your mileage may vary on these, however, as i may have gotten one of the "good ones". but in my case, i love this guitar.
