Description
Introducing the Seagull S6 Original, an acoustic guitar that has swept awards and won hearts with its distinctive tonality and aesthetic appeal. As the flagship of the Seagull line, the S6 Original is carefully crafted with a pressure-tested cedar top and a silver leaf maple neck. It boasts a custom-polished semi-gloss finish, offering a bolder look on the neck, back, and sides. This guitar is not just about looks; it's a tonal essential for any player.
The combined tonewoods and thin, yet durable, finish allow the S6 to project with a crisp midrange and a tight bottom end. Moreover, the modified dreadnought body shape cuts unwanted boominess, making it a perfect choice for recording and live shows. The integrated set neck and compound curved top offer increased tuning stability, resonance, and projection.
All Seagull guitars are handcrafted in the small village of La Patrie in eastern Quebec, and the S6 Original is no exception. With over 25 years of craftsmanship, Seagull's commitment to making the best guitars possible is evident in every detail, from the superior tone, projection, and response of the pressure-tested cedar top to the innovative neck construction that delivers killer playability and tone.

The perfect guitar.
I have played a lot of different guitars, electric and acoustic, over the years and this one makes me quite happy. I got it specifically just to add a bit of a natural feel to my electronic compositions, but it sounds amazing to just sit around and strum on, too! I have the acoustic-electric version, which is neat to record with and has an amazing built-in tuner.

My first guitar bought in 1988
It's is priced right for a first guitar and well constructed for an inexpensive starter providing great sound...until you play a higher end guitar. Much better than investing heavily in a hobby you may or may not pursue.

Great acoustic
Mine is an electric also. Great guitar, I'll match with a Martin or a Taylor any day.
