Description

The Fender CD-60 Dreadnought is a harmonious blend of craftsmanship and affordability, perfect for musicians seeking a robust acoustic experience. With its solid spruce top and mahogany back and sides, the CD-60 delivers a full-bodied, resonant sound that’s ideal for both live performances and studio recordings. The combination of these tonewoods ensures a balanced sonic palette, with warm lows and crisp highs that cut through any mix.

Fender has fine-tuned this model with thoughtful upgrades, including a compensated bridge saddle and a refined sunburst finish that adds a touch of elegance. The CD-60 also features coated strings, designed to resist corrosion and prolong the life of your instrument, making sure your music sounds its best for longer. Whether you're strumming at home or playing to a crowd, the Fender CD-60 Dreadnought is built to inspire.

Getting a Great First Acoustic Guitar - That You’ll Want to Play - Fender CD60 Dreadnought Acoustic — That Guitar Lover

thatguitarlover.com

The Fender CD-60 Dreadnought is hailed as a standout choice for beginners, offering playability and quality uncommon in its price range. With a laminated spruce top and mahogany back and sides, it delivers a commendable tap tone that rivals more expensive models, though it lacks the resonance of solid wood. The guitar impresses with its user-friendly design—perfect for new players—and includes a hardshell case, enhancing its value. While alternatives often suffer from poor setup and unplayability, the CD-60 demonstrates consistency and reliability. Ideal for those starting their musical journey, it defies the notion that affordable equals inferior.

Fender CD-60 Review: Affordable Beginner Acoustic Guitar

cigilovic.com

The Fender CD-60 is lauded as a top choice for beginners, offering impressive value and consistent quality. It's affordable, widely available, and comes with essential accessories, making it an easy pick for novices. While the tone and build aren't flawless, which is expected at this price point, the guitar maintains structural integrity better than many entry-level competitors. Compared to the LAG T-66D, it falls slightly behind in sound quality but still stands out for its cost-effectiveness. Overall, it's a reliable, budget-friendly option for newcomers.

Perfect Dreadnought

This is also my first guitar. The bass on this guitar is phenomenal; I tend to use it for bass recordings more than an actual bass guitar. Chords sound very nice when played on this guitar, but I would recommend using barre chords most often as they sound better on any Dreadnought guitar. My favourite part about this guitar though, is how nice power chords sound.

michaelpole

great beginner instrument

great guitar and is very well built considering it's price. no sharp fret ends or fret buzz which is common for a 'cheaper' acoustic guitar.

rikoflishas

solid top right?

michaelpole

yeah it's solid top

cescmkilgore

Durable and reliable

Although being pretty cheap, I had this guitar for almost 10 years already and never disappointed me. It needs some extra care since the neck is starting to give up but that's nothing it cannot be repaired. Nice and warm sound, very easy to learn with.

Decent Guitar just not for the price

This was my first ever acoustic guitar since I realized I should get one before spending money on MORE electric guitars. I paid $200 for it and it is truly not worth it. It sounds out of tune, it feels awful, and the tone is ok. For $200 though I wish I could trade this for another guitar.

Best choices for this price !

I got Fender CD 60 with natural finish for my birthday in 2009. This is a nice looking and good sounding guitar from Fender, officialy produced in China. As for me, neck feels a little thicker and flatter than I prefer, but it's not such a problem. It fits and sounds perfectly with D'addario Medium or Light strings.

dterrero

Excellent instrument for the price

I have this mainly for writing and just general jamming, but also this works well for live music.

Fender Guitars are COOL

My First Guitar and only to this Day, very nice sounds and gives a very special feel, not better than Martin but still cool guitar.

cos_mozz

Crispy

Great crispy clear sound for the price. Always sit well on the mix.

reuben_jones

A very warm guitar that is almost perfect for the price

The guitar allows for a warm sound when the strings are replaced for a better quality set.
