Description

Unlock the full potential of your guitar amp with the Speaker Soak Power Tube Volume Attenuator by Carl's Custom Guitars. This ingenious device allows you to enjoy those rich, full-bodied power tube tones you crave, without blasting your eardrums or disturbing the peace. Perfect for amps up to 50 watts, the Speaker Soak provides a seamless way to dial back the volume while preserving the integrity of your sound.

Whether you're practicing in your bedroom or jamming with your band, this attenuator is your ticket to achieving that cranked amp sound at any volume. Simply connect the Speaker Soak between your amp's speaker output and the speaker itself, and you're ready to rock. Compatible with 4, 8, and 16 ohm versions, this handcrafted tool is designed for easy setup and maximum tonal preservation. Made in the backwoods of rural Massachusetts by Carl himself, this device reflects a commitment to quality and craftsmanship that's been the hallmark of Carl's Custom Guitars since 1998.

While the Speaker Soak attenuates volume, it converts excess energy into heat, so it's normal for it to get warm during use. Just ensure it's got some breathing room, and you'll be set for hours of worry-free playing. Remember, it’s not intended for amps over 50 watts — check your amp's specs to ensure compatibility.

Perfect for my needs!

This thing works perfectly! It can get my 15-watt tube head down to below speaking volume, and the knob is really smooth--no jumping from zero to one-hundred with a teeny turn. Additionally it is super cheap, and way better constructed than attenuators twice this one's price, like the Bugera Powersoak. This is a fantastic deal.

Housebreak that Fire-breathing Tweed or Silverface

This is a fantastic amp attenuator available from Carl's Custom Guitars' channel on Reverb.com (https://reverb.com/shop/carls-custom-guitars). It's a bargain around $40 and soaks up to 60 Watts. Pair it with a 50's Bassman, Deluxe Reverb, Super-Sonic, or any of the Blues/Hot Rod amps to get that cranked and creamy tone at a bedroom-friendly volume.
