In this GuitarPlayer article, Mike Rutherford is seen playing the Squier Bullet Strat HT for some of the Genesi's 2021 The Last Domino? tour. The article notes that even though Mike Rutherford has a large collection of pricey guitars, in the forementioned tour he is seen many times with the Squier Bullet Strat HT, which can be found for under USD 200. As the story goes, Mike Rutherford, who lives in Surrey, England, owns a house in Cape Town, South Africa. During the 2020-2021 pandemic, he was stuck in Cape Town for several weeks without a guitar. Since the tour was starting soon and he needed to re-learn the setlist, he went to a local music store and bought a couple of Squiers. When the tour kicked off, he naturally added the guitars to his gear.
