Description

Step into the world of vintage synthesis with the Star Instruments Synare 2, a rare gem from the golden era of analog sound. Originally debuting in the late 1970s, the Synare 2 was the flagship model of its time, celebrated for its innovative design and rich, analog textures. This meticulously crafted percussion synthesizer marries an analog VCO with a digital sequencer, offering a unique sonic palette that's both retro and timeless.

The Synare 2 is equipped with a powerful array of features, including a 125-step sequencer and 12 chromatically-tuned trigger pads, making it a versatile tool for both live performances and studio sessions. The fully analog signal path boasts variable-width pulse and ramp waves, complemented by pink and white noise options for a broad range of tonal possibilities. Its 24dB VCF can be assigned to both LFO and ENV, providing deep modulation capabilities, while the two-stage envelope generator and LFO with tri, pulse, and ramp waves allow for expressive articulation.

This particular unit has been thoroughly tested and is in good working condition, with some minor quirks typical of vintage gear. While some fader caps are fragile, all faders and the sequencer are operational, ensuring a smooth creative process. With under 100 units produced between 1976-82, the Synare 2 is not just an instrument but a collector's treasure.

Key Features:

  • Analog VCO with variable-width pulse and ramp waves
  • 125-step digital sequencer
  • 12 chromatically-tuned trigger pads
  • 24dB VCF assignable to LFO and ENV
  • Two-stage envelope generator
