Very good for trancy sounds and arps
I mostly use it for the arpegiators presets, it has a very bright sound that is very appropriate for trance-style leads/arps. The pads are also quite good but not the best ones out there imho (keep in mind that I'm still a beginner in the music production world so my opinion has to be taken not too seriously)

" I also love Tone2’s Gladiator, Lennar Digital’s Sylenth, and Native Instruments’ Damage, the latter for more cinematic sounds."
In the Zach Sang Show interview, Porter Robinson discusses co-producing "Clarity" with Zedd at the 23:08 mark. During this collaboration, the Tone2 Gladiator 2 Software Synthesizer was used, specifically the 'LD Arena MS' preset from the 'Lead Keys' sub bank, featured prominently as the lead synth in the track's drop.

At 3:10 of Virtual Riot's video we can see him using Tone2 Gladiator 2 to layer chord and lead sounds.
"During one of our summer Russian tours we came up with an idea for ‘Quasar’. When we got back home we already had the track almost done. It took us a week to master it and we sent it to Axwell. He was impressed with the break but advised us to work on the main drop to make it more powerful. We tried quite a few different basslines, playing the test versions at clubs and festivals for a month or so, but still weren’t fully satisfied with the sound of it. Eventually we came up with the idea of using the dubstep bassline, blending it with the melodic sound of progressive house, keeping it at 128bpm. In the process, new ideas were constantly coming to us and we really enjoyed creating something we had never done before. To make this dubstep-sounding fat bass we used a few synths like Logic EFM1, Sylenth1, Synplant and Gladiator, switching the waves, changing decay, sustain, release and LFO. When we sent the final version to Axwell everybody in the Axtone crew was really impressed and thought it was awesome. After its release, right before the Ultra Music Festival and during Miami Music Week, almost every house DJ used it in their sets. We were happy that it turned out so sweet and everybody enjoyed it."
Gladiator rounds out The M Machine's favorite synths, along with Sylenth and Razor.
In this Q&A Alessio Anesi asks Andrew Rayel: Which are your favourite studio items? Do you use real instruments like piano or just digital "simulators?" And your most used plug-in?
Andrew Rayel responds: my MIDI keyboard M-Audio, synths: Sylenth, Massive, Zebra, Gladiator, Spire.
