Oversized now...
I have had this pedal for many years, but what I would say, is while it is unlikely to fail, the floor size is pretty big these days and that would be one of the reasons for not replacing it. Besides, there are so many other pedals now that this one is past it's sell by date.

The Monster
This is just an unbreakable indestructible, versitile, you could almost say invincible midi machine.

versatile pedal control with seamless preset switching
It goes to the rack where it controls most of the pedals using the GCX switcher as well as the Voicelive. It switches presets automatically through Ableton (using a Saffire Pro 40), which is controlled by the drummer.

In this video, Misha Mansoor was seen using a Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro with his GCX and G Major.
The rack of pedals in Matthew Followill's guitar rig is controlled by his Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro MIDI Foot Controller (3:57 into this video). He has "8 channels of multiple loops" on it.
From the interview with Premier Guitar:
What effects did you use for Blood In, Blood Out? Holt: I use a ton of different pedals. I love stompboxes—they’re like crack to me! I have pedals from Maxon, Dunlop, HomeBrew Electronics, Pigtronix. I use a lot of the Maxon Tube Screamer-type pedals. They made the original ones, so they have ones that are exactly like the original, sought-after ones, and they also have updated versions.
I also love the Boss Octaver. I’ve never been without one my whole life. Dunlop makes a bass octave pedal, which sounds probably even a little better and has a smaller footprint, which I also like. And I use a Voodoo Lab Ground Control. With Slayer, I’ve been using the Dunlop Jerry Cantrell wah. Kerry [King] uses the Zakk Wylde wah, so I wanted something to differentiate our wah sounds.
In this video, Devin Townsend of Vai, Front Line Assembly, The Wild Hearts, and Strapping Young Lad, talks about his effect units and other equipment, mentioning the Voodoo Lab foot controller at 1:12.
According to pictures on his site, Paisley uses the Ground Control to switch between 4 amps, vibrato, delay, tremolo, wah, dirt, and phase.
Around 0:25 in this video of Jared Followill's bass rig walkthrough, his guitar/bass tech shows that Jared uses the Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro MIDI Foot Controller out on the floor, next to his tuner and an extra reverb pedal.
At 22:01 of Premier Guitar's Rig Rundown a Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro MIDI Foot Controller was spotted.
Giving order to his rack full of pedals is the Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro MIDI controller. Sneaking into the shot is an Ernie Ball VP Jr volume pedal that Will uses only for killing his signal for tuning.
Dan uses a Voodoo Lab Ground Control, as his guitar tech mentions in this video. Around 9:35 he says, "The brain of all of this system...unless he's using his wah pedal, he's free to roam...I think it allowed him to do things he'd never done before because he'd always been tethered to the pedalboard."
In a Sweetwater YouTube video titled "Guitar Rig Tour with Judas Priest's Richie Faulkner," Richie Faulkner demonstrates his use of the Voodoo Lab Ground Control Pro. This MIDI foot controller allows him to manage up to 8 MIDI devices simultaneously and includes 8 assignable instant access switches. It also features a bright, stage-friendly alphanumeric display and supports real-time sound control via volume/expression pedals.
