Critic Reviews

Nektar Technology Panorama P4

soundonsound.com

The Nektar Panorama P4 shines as a must-have for Propellerhead's Reason users, thanks to its seamless integration and striking design. Its standout features include a high-resolution color display, motorized fader, and extensive control options that elevate the music production experience. While the aftertouch inconsistency and limited drum pads are minor drawbacks, and the motorized fader had firmware issues during the review, these are overshadowed by its overall performance. Reason users will find it indispensable, though it also offers versatility as a generic MIDI controller. Overall, a compelling and stylish option in the MIDI controller market.

positive

macProVideo.com

macprovideo.com

The Nektar Panorama P4 impresses with a striking design and robust build quality, offering a semi-weighted keyboard and extensive control options. Its standout feature—a touch-sensitive motorized fader—enhances DAW integration, especially with Logic Pro X and Bitwig Studio. While installation is not entirely straightforward and occasional lag on faders can occur, the P4 excels in providing intuitive control and seamless operation with multiple DAWs. For those seeking a versatile controller with unique features, the Panorama P4 is a strong contender, though exploring similar options from M-Audio and Novation may be worthwhile.

positive

Nektar Panorama P4 review | MusicRadar

musicradar.com

The Nektar Panorama P4 impresses as a comprehensive MIDI controller, ideal for Reason users with its seamless integration, vibrant LCD screen, and intuitive controls. While it excels in offering an all-in-one solution for Reason, the absence of audio I/O and its steep price may deter some buyers. Its plug-and-play capability for other DAWs like Cubase is commendable, yet alternative options might better suit those needing extensive third-party plugin control. Despite its minor build quality concerns, the Panorama P4 shines as a must-try for serious Reason enthusiasts, provided Nektar maintains timely updates with Reason’s evolving features.

positive

Nektar Panorama P4 Keyboard Controller Review | Pro Tools - The leading website for Pro Tools users

production-expert.com

The Nektar Panorama P4 strikes a chord with its sleek design and quality feel, setting it apart from the typical MIDI controller. Its deep integration with DAWs like Bitwig Studio and Cubase shines, though Pro Tools users face limitations with basic mapping options. The semi-weighted keys and responsive drum pads offer excellent playability, while the motorized fader adds a touch of luxury. Despite the lack of full Pro Tools integration, the Panorama P4 remains a compelling choice for those using multiple DAWs, thanks to its ergonomic design and elegant functionality. A must-try for discerning musicians.

The best 49 key midi controller for Logic and Reason

It's series provides the deepest integration with Logic and Reason than any other controller out there and is a controller with functionality that is way out of it's price range, not to mention it's great looks. If you're a Logic user and can't afford this, I would recommend the Novation Impulse 49 since you're getting most of what you want. If you like the controller but don't use Logic or Reason, I would recommend the Akai Professional MPK249 because you're almost getting the same stuff and saving some money.

Have bought it recently, wish i would do it earlier!!! Great with reason!

Nice MIDI Keyboard!! Best use with Reason or Cubase!

It is a MIDI Keyboard with many DAW-Control Functions. I am using it together with Ableton Live. It works but some of the functions are only working with Reason or Cubase. Because of that only 4 Stars
