Yamaha ESY-101 Ext Selector

The Yamaha ESY-101 Ext Selector is a utility cartridge module designed for the Yamaha PSE-40A Professional System Effectors. Unlike the other PSE-40A modules, the ESY-101 does not generate an audio effect. Instead, it provides an external send/return loop, allowing external pedals, processors, or rack effects to be integrated into the PSE-40A signal chain while maintaining the modular routing system. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}

The module can be installed in any of the PSE-40A's four cartridge slots and switched on or off using the system's dedicated footswitches, making it possible to include or bypass external equipment as part of a programmable effects chain.
