"On the recent live performances of Bending Hectic with The Smile, Jonny used an Earthquaker Devices Hizumitas fuzz pedal. The Hizumitas is based on the “Elk Big Muff Sustainar”, a vintage knockoff of the EHX Big Muff with a modified tone control circuit. That said, any Big Muff version will get very close to that sound (except perhaps the OpAmp version).

Jonny’s solo on that song sounds very Malkmus-inspired, and perhaps the pedal was too, given how many Earthquaker pedals Malkmus used on his recent solo tours, and Malkmus’s 2019 interview with Earthquaker. Jonny added the Hizumitas pedal to his board part-way through the May-July tour, along with an Electro-Harmonix Pitch Fork." -The King of Gear, https://thekingofgear.com/post/701105264119742464/jonny-greenwoods-pedalboards-for-the-smiles
