Guitars 6

Lucy doesn't look at all like the picture. She's the same color and that's it. I have modded her within an inch of her life. She has stickers all over her, because fuck you, that's why. She has a Green Day sticker, a Pierce the Veil sticker (my first band I was into), a planet sticker, a "No one for president" sticker, a PARENTAL ADVISORY sticker, a grim reaper sticker, a biohazard sticker, a star sticker, a "sexy inside" sticker, a musical-heart sticker, and my personal favorite, a sticker that says "Hello, my name is: Butt Head". I changed the tuners from the sealed Squier tuners to Fender Locking tuners because they are far superior. I plan to change her bridge pickup to a Seymour Duncan JB Jr. I also had to attach the strap with duct tape, because the strap-locks from Dunlop (don't use them) gouged a hole in the place where the screw usually go, and I don't want to shove toothpicks into my guitar. I don't care if you like my guitar. Fuck you if you don't.
Inexpensive, high-quality, USA built Gibson Les Paul. The finish is stunning, no flame maple or anything, just a gold rub in satin finish. The back and the neck are left with no paint and a satin finish, and you can easily see it is 100% genuine mahogany. Plays beautifully and has deluxe tuners. This guitar is worth every cent.
I don't know a lot about this guitar, in actuality. My mother bought it for my father when they got engaged, and he gave it to me when I picked up guitar. It's just a regular old six-string. The string tension is ridiculously high, and the strings snap all the time. That being said, she sounds great. I named her Josephine.
I got this guitar for $425 off the wall with it being listed as $499. Was missing a knob and talked the guys at Guitar Center down a bit. This guitar plays wonderfully - has a couple of buzz spots on the fretboard, but those can be easily fixed. Overall, the action is wonderfully low and the neck plays beautifully - it's the first gloss-finish neck that doesn't feel sticky. The only thing I don't particularly like is the vintage tuners, but I can change those out as well. Overall, Chinese made Fenders are still that - Fender guitars. They've got the quality control to produce instruments in China for an almost American quality.

Strings 3

Don't wear quickly, very durable, haven't snapped yet (and it's been almost a month). Great strings.
I like these strings; they're comfortable and easy to use. That being said, they are not my favorite.
I love these strings sooooo much, they ring loud and long, and are comfortable on the fingers.

Effects Pedals 12

Just got this for the holidays from my brother, absolutely love it.
It rarely tells me what I am actually playing in terms of notes. It isn't working most of the time. Get a Snark or a pedal tuner.
The amount of versatility this pedal has is incredible, and all of the settings sound awesome. Works fantastically well through an FX loop and sounds killer.
Gets the Dookie tones incredibly easily and very, very accurately, as well as allowing me to shape my own tone easily.
I bought a brand new version of this pedal for $80 at guitar center, and I have to tell you, it is VERSATILE. I was able to get some tones out of it that sounded like some of my favorite bands: I got a nice thrash tone for Metallica, a crunchy tone with a British voice from the amp for Green Day, and a lighter crunch for some stuff like AC/DC. The pedal died, unfortunately. It won't work even plugged into the wall anymore. I think I broke it somehow, probably when I dropped it down the stairs when I slipped on my dog's tail (the dog is OK). But the bottom line is, this is a very nice pedal for the price. I only gave it 4 stars because there are BETTER pedals, but this is great for the price.

Music Accessories 13

...on my Gibson. Great quality, and trustworthy.
Wonderful quality, comfortable to wear, durable.
I love this strap. I use this on my pride-and-joy guitar, Lucy, my modded Stratocaster. It's duct taped to the guitar (I'm 16, get over it), and it holds well, but that's because of the tape. The strap itself is kind of hard to adjust if you're wearing the guitar while adjusting, but that's the only downside. It's really long if you want it to be, and I wear my guitar low, so that's nice. It also is very strong; you can tell just by looking and feeling it. It's very well made, no fraying or seams ripped. It's also got great padding, never hurts my shoulder. I love this strap.
Molded to fit a Les Paul, I use this for my Epiphone. It's an OK case; it holds the guitar well. The storage space is small, but that's the guitar's fault, sort of. The hardshell part of the case is kind of stingy- if you want really great protection, for something like a custom guitar or a custom shop- buy something else.
These picks are really great for a little while; they have good memory and good resistance. They are easy to old on to thanks to the Max Grip-ness, and they don't wear down quickly. At least, not on the surface. The problem comes after using a pick for a while. The durability starts to deteriorate. It gets flimsy and bendy. Not good. For a while, they work, but need to replace them soon after.
Turned my Strat into an amazing punk-rock machine.
Nothing wrong with them at all. Even after extensive use, they stay firm.
Good for soloing, but if you're playing rhythm, get something else.
Long, durable, and no feedback- perfect cable for any use!
Durable and wonderful memory. 10/10 recommend.
The price this case is at Guitar Center is somewhere around 90 dollars. I bought it for a plane ride, and even though it doesn't lock, it does it's job incredibly well. This is a great case for the price.

Microphones 5

Amplifiers 4

It's a decent amp for a starter player. Once you pass that threshold, you find yourself immediately wanting more.
This is perfect for what it is- tiny, travel sized, and sounds amazing for the price and size. It's a fantastic amp for the price.
My first real, real amplifier. Not a solid-state combo, a real tube amplifier. I can't express how happy I am with this - the voicing is classically vintage and sounds incredible. For the money, you cannot find a better amplifier. I wish it had a second channel, but a good drive pedal fixes that problem.

Studio Equipment 5

It's pretty easy to use and very versatile. I'm a serious beginner when it comes to recording music and this has gotten me far for what I know.
Incredible value for the money. Payed only about $200 for my first audiobox, being this. It's already, in just a few days, inspired so much music and helped me to record so many things. The preamps are ridiculously good and you can record in 96k. I love this thing.

Other Gear 3

GarageBand is actually extremely in-depth for being free, and easy to use for beginners. I produced my entire first EP on GarageBand, and it sounds somewhat professional, at least for what a first-time music producer can do. It's extremely easy to use and very, very good for a free software.
Sounds badass on a recording, especially with both pickups at once. Cuts through a mix real well and sounds awesome.
They don't fit perfectly on Squiers, but if you do a little drilling they work. So it's cool! These are really great tuners all in all.

Had 3

I call this guitar DJ. He is absolute crap; within a month of getting him, the bridge pickup went microphonic. Instead of wasting money fixing a shitty guitar, I did something worse. I took a 42 gauge string that I had lying around, snipped all the strings off of DJ, and put the spare 42 gauge where the D string should be. I tune it down way low and use it to sort of djent when I'm super bored. Obviously, it doesn't work well. It's just a shitty guitar that I can't sell and don't want to throw away for sentiment.
It's a cheap guitar, true, and it works, also true. But this guitar is NOT a nice guitar. Do not be fooled. The fret buzz on this guitar, and every single one of the same model by Epiphone that I have played (around 7 others), is OUTRAGEOUS. It was so bad that adjusting the height of the bridge didn't do ANYTHING to fix it. I called my store and found out the best way to fix it was to get a new, custom-cut nut. Not worth it. The pickup is of the "meh" quality. Just don't get this.
Guitar was nice and played well, but it just wasn't for me. Was my first guitar.
