Pretty decent, terrible string tension

I don't know a lot about this guitar, in actuality. My mother bought it for my father when they got engaged, and he gave it to me when I picked up guitar. It's just a regular old six-string. The string tension is ridiculously high, and the strings snap all the time. That being said, she sounds great.

I named her Josephine.
