This condenser microphone offers high sensitivity, solid SPL capability, and multiple pickup patterns; in short, it's a versatile and affordable addition to any professional setup, you can select from cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-eight pickup patterns for a variety of miking applications. This microphone features a rugged construction and includes a spider-style shockmount and i love the aluminum carrying case.

Similar to the MXL 990, it's the perfect addition to a home studio on a budget. However, the looks and sound quality may be more appealing.
