Setup and maintenance
-
A tilted neck towards the treble side, visible when sighting, can appear due to the nut being higher on the bass side.

Adjusting the bridge to have a 1mm difference between high and low E is critical; any more indicates a potential issue.

If the neck alignment issue isn't affecting playability, it may not need immediate attention, but a luthier can address cosmetic concerns.

It's recommended to avoid large chain stores like Guitar Center for repairs due to inconsistent staff expertise; seek local specialists with dedicated guitar repair experience.

Checking humbucker issues can sometimes be as simple as verifying knob functions; the top knob controls volume while the bottom handles tone.

For diagnosing pickup problems, a multimeter can be useful to check connections, although a comfort level with soldering is advised for DIY repairs.

solid, but not for me
The clean tone was just sublime, even on amps that were admittedly kind of shitty at the time. It's one solid hunk of mahogany, but is surprisingly pretty light. The stock pickups are absolute mud when it comes to high gain tones, though, and the slightly shorter than average scale length combined with the wraparound bridge make it really unstable in lower tunings. It was so nice that I was kind of afraid to hurt it, so it was never played live, but was nice for clean tone jams at home.

Pride and Joy
It's awesome - I've recently adapted it a little with split coils and a push pull tone pot but it's a fantastic looking and great playing guitar - the finish is flawless and I've had it for years!
