Great guitar, PRS are just great amazing guitars
Being an Gibson/Epiphone fan, most of my life I've been buying Les Pauls, and 335s etc... I love them, those are my main guitars, but as you grow old and hear all the hype that surrounds the PRS brand you start to wonder, are they on to something or is just unjustified hype? Well I decided to find out by myself, and bought this PRS SE Custom 22 (24 are just weird for me, being most of a rhythm player, after the 15 fret, I don't know what to do properly so 22 frets are more than enough for me), because I wanted to try it without spending $4000 on a guitar I just didn't know if I were going to like, and I have to say they are great guitars, Paul's quality control overseas is just spectacular, and the hype is really justified, because these to me are the perfect child between a Les Paul and a Strat (as Paul intended to do), they are great to every genre, the necks are great, great scale for detunning (i use mine in D standard), great rock and metal machine, solid body, with nice humbuckers (eventually i would replace them with some better PRS USA humbuckers, or something you preffer like some Seymour's or DiMarzio's) with split coil possibilities to thin it out, the flamed tops looks stunning live, and you actually look cool holding one, so just pick your color and get on the hype train

Great gear!
This guitar is for sure one of the best buys in my life. Very solid and compact sound, great finish and very comfortable... Way better than a les Paul studio or a mexican strat
