Brilliant sound, Good quality Build!!!

These speakers may be small, but pack a serious punch when it comes to frequency ranges. However, it does lack slightly in the sub end, as they are only 20W speakers, although you can connect a subwoofer to them using the sub's cable, plugging it into the back of the Right Speaker.

I have actually had people ask me, "how do you get such a clean mix?" and I told them that you don't need to splash out on the latest, professional gear. All you need is a good, reasonably priced pair of speakers, some good mixing and mastering VSTs and the knowledge of frequencies and how to mix them properly.

All in all, Brilliant quality for only £100!!

Will get the job done for the price

These speakers are accurate and can be mixed on without many problems. The only problem I've had with them so far is that they don't have much sub-bass response because of their fairly small size. From my frequency sweep tests, it seems to roll off at 35-40 Hz. To hear anything below that requires your monitor levels and the speaker volume cranked to 11, and even then, you won't hear much response past 30 Hz, so if you're an EDM/trap/dubstep music, these might not work for you unless you turn your levels all the way up to distortion levels or get a subwoofer. They also don't have particularly good transient detail or dynamics.

Otherwise, they're great near-field monitors for beginners. If you can get a mix sounding good in these, chances are they're going to sound pretty good across other platforms as well. However, if you get them, and same with plenty of other monitors regardless of price, you certainly have to check your mixes across multiple platforms to really get a comprehensive sound. However, I think it's more necessary with these monitors more than higher-end ones.

Surprising sound from a small frame.

These studio monitors aren't exactly professional quality, but they're good enough for a starting musician. Bass is bumped up in the EQ, even without the Bass Boost switch. You can plug a subwoofer into the back of it with a conventional stereo 1/8th inch connection, which has led me to try a CyberAcoustics 2.1 set into it, a pair of headphones, a second stereo into it, and a myriad of others.

Would definitely recommend it to others now that it's cheaper as a great beginner pair.

Great Starting Monitors

I have use these since the beginning of my career and have never let me down; great sound produced and also allows you to experiment & advance your production skills with its built-in bass boost.

Not the best monitors, but certainly a good choice for beginners.

You can do much better in terms of monitors, but a decent price from a trusted brand, you can't go wrong. The bass presence is felt nicely and it sounds good.

Only the best

Probably the best studio monitors I've ever used, possibly the best in the world even. Would highly recommend. Make sure you push the round soft cover thing ear the top all the way in for better sound

For beginners

I use my elevate's for producing. They don't sound professional, but good for beginner producers.
