Description
Dive into the world of sound design with the Dreadbox Typhon, a compact, portable, and affordable monophonic desktop analog synthesizer. Backed by the renowned Dreadbox analog sound profile, this synthesizer is a creative powerhouse that offers a remarkable level of control over your sounds.
Crafted in Athens, Greece, the Typhon boasts two analog Voltage Controlled Oscillators (VCOs), analog Voltage Controlled Amplifiers (VCAs), and an analog 24dB low-pass filter. The straightforward front panel design allows you to intuitively tweak your sounds, while the right side of the panel houses sliders, buttons, and an encoder for controlling the Amp and Filter envelopes, the sequencer, the modulators, and the stereo effects.
Unleash your creative potential with Typhon's three independent modulators, each capable of being routed to 13 different destinations for endless sonic exploration. The synthesizer features an onboard 32-note sequencer that can be used in traditional sequencing or as a modulation source. The sequencer stores Note, Velocity, Octave Gate, and Probability trigger information for each step, allowing for intricate and unique sound patterns.
To round off this robust synthesizer, the Typhon is equipped with a powerful suite of DSP effects, programmed by Sinevibes. These effects offer high-quality stereo output and include various distortion algorithms, bit crushing, FM sounds, Chorus, Ensemble, Flanging effects, and lush sounding Reverb and Delay types.

Big sound, small frame.
Has its own sound—big, chewy, analog—that pairs extremely well with other excellent synths, including the Minimoog and the Perfourmer. Its presets are super useful, much better than the presets of a lot of other synths. And the built-in Sinevibes effects really bring the Typhon to life. A future classic is what I predict.
