It just works

It's easy to use, with a great response. The sturdy metal housing ensures that you can do just about anything to without breaking (I've dropped mine on concrete with not even a scratch to show for it), which makes it ideal for touring. I usually use mine to make my 4-string sound like a 5-string, and it works perfectly. I still haven't found anyone who can tell the difference. As a regular Octave effect it certainly meets all expactations.

Excellent tracking

I prefer my OC-2 for 100% octave tone, but if you're running a dry/oct split, it sounds almost as good and tracks much better (down to F#!) I also like the range toggle.

Nice pedal overall

I like this pedal, it has a nice sound and with the different modes you are able to easier fit the pedal to your use, either you want a fat low end or a powerful mid you will get what you are looking for. The only downside of the octabass is that it's not polyfonic(in case somebody wonders what that is it's the ability to pllay several notes at a time) which makes it impossible to play chords with this beauty. It's really a shame cause I love the tone it gives and the versatility to get another octave playing parallell to what you do.

No analog and hardly ANY digital octavers can accurately track chrds from a bass or guitar. Its just a sad fact of life. The more vibe and style the octave effect has the worse the tracking. As guitarists and bassists we will have to live with the pain of garbles ring-mod tones coming from our amps if try to play chords through any sort of octave effect short of an eventide H3000!
