Killer one Trick Pony

I picked one of these guys used online for like, REALLY cheap. I had a dirty fingers before and swapped out the pickup for a Bare Knuckle Brute Force bridge pickup. Changed the volume pot for a push/pull and added a treble bleed circuit. I also swapped out all the hardware, gotoh locking tuners, tusq nut, tone pro's bridge and tail piece. Also got the frets leveled and crowned by a local luthier. I even blacked out the headstock with a paint pen and put my bands logo on it. This is my go to guitar for my Emo/Pop-Punk cover band. It's super light and resonant, the pickup does one thing REALLY well and can split it for single coil tones. The neck is a baseball bat lol! I've played some thicc boi's in Les Paul land but never encountered a neck like this. I mean, I love it, but it could be a sticking point for some folks. Stock I actually didn't like the guitar that much? The dirty fingers pickup is legit great but I don't think it works best with this model. The Bareknuckle does a lot more I feel. The stock hardware was "okay", perfectly usable just nothing special. Also the stock playability was kinda sus, I found some uneven frets that sometimes buzzed out and the frets were a little scratchy. This guitar is a total collectors piece if you are a Blink182 fan. Not something you can legit play out without a lot of TLC/work. Giving it high marks for being a piece I modeled after my own needs. But if I were grading it out of the box I'd give it a 3/5.

Tom DeLonge Fan THIS IS FOR YOU

If you can buy the Gibson, do it, I get it, if I could I've done it too, but if you don't have that kind of money, this guitar is the one for you, more common to find, it has the same wood, the same pots, and the same Gibson Dirty Fingers, the only differences are the Sperzels locking tuners in the Gibson, but the Grovers are great so, is not a big deal, the headstock off-course, and the finish, one is Lacquered and the other is Nitrocellulose. I've seen reviews, and also hear them both, and the sound IS the same, even seen Tom himself playing one of this Epiphones, Gibson is just the made in usa and the prestige. If you can find one good deal, do it, you won't regret it.

A fan, my writing guitar.

For me this was more-so a collectible. As any die-hard fan of Tom Delonge, we all want to own this at some point in our lives ahaha. I got this at a time where all I was doing were Blink-182/Angels and Airwaves covers for my college's Music and Arts Club. It was a fun time. But I've moved past it. You'll probably most likely never see me playing live with this anymore. It sits besides my computer next to my Line 6 Podfarm UX2, for when I write songs/record demos. I guess you could say I only use this guitar for songwriting. I do however love the Dirty Fingers pickup in it.

But on a serious note, I've always been a fan of the "larger" guitar. I hope to one day own an actual ES-335. The sound from those is something I can easily fall in love with.
