Description
Crafted for musicians by musicians, the Ex Machina Soundworks Pulsar MKII 3-way 8-inch Active Studio Monitors are a breakthrough in studio recording gear. Born and engineered in Brooklyn, NY, these monitors are a testament to the power of modern circuit design and DSP technology. With their meticulous design and high-efficiency Hypex Ncore amplifiers, they aim to connect the musician with their music on a deeper level.
Built with Valchromat, a novel wood fiber panel that offers superior rigidity, these monitors are housed in sealed, highly braced cabinets. This construction reduces group delay and turbulence, common issues found in traditional ported monitors.
The Pulsar MKII boasts a SHARC processor, the industry standard for premium-quality DSP. This processor is used to power their ultra-precise digital crossovers, protection limiters, and proprietary phase and magnitude calibration technology, ensuring a pristine AD/DA path.
The heart of these monitors lies in their unique 18cm coaxial mid- and high-frequency drive unit, developed in collaboration with renowned loudspeaker developer SEAS. This unit offers a super-wide listening sweet spot and a lifelike center image. The midrange driver is made from TeXtreme, a cutting-edge carbon fiber material that shapes into an optimized waveguide for the concentric tweeter.
