Nicest guitar i've ever owned
I've had this guitar since 2020 or so when I bought it used in pristine condition from another guitarist.
The sound overall is lovely and rich and it also plays beautifully tuned down to D standard along with various alternate tunings (up and down). I have used regular gauge E standard string setups, which it came with, but I mostly have it strung with thicker gauge D standard D'addario strings, and it is great. It is easy to adjust action and truss rod tension if that is something you know how to do, so I was able to do that and ensure my heavier strings tuned down didn't buzz.
I run this guitar through a pretty intense pedalboard setup with up to 18 pedals in my chain, and it consistently holds its own even with the craziest distortion and overdrive. I love it because I was worried I'd lose its voice in the heaviness of my effects setup.
My only frustration thus far has been that the tremolo arm string snapped pretty early on in my owning it- but most Jazzmaster owners know that this is common. Fortunately, this is an easy fix. I haven't fixed mine because I don't use the tremolo arm, but if one likes to use these heavily while playing it might not be the best option, as they can be fragile to upkeep on the jazzmaster.
